Red Bull Rampage 2026: Robin Goomes wins gold

Three times in a row. Because you never send a man to do a woman’s job.

SHE’S THE THREEPEAT CHAMPION.

Mons Royale athlete Robin Goomes has officially won Red Bull Rampage 2026 for the third time back-to-back, making her the first rider in the world to win gold three times in a row. She’s just made history, again. That’s our badass, back-flipping, bike-whipping, world-title-riding, record-breaking, history-making athlete.

And what a show it was. Her first run, Robin nailed the first-ever flat spin by a woman in competition, threw two backflips and a no footer, and rode a stylish, fearless run that landed her in second place on 90.62 points behind Hannah Bergemann on 91.25.

“The flat spin was a pretty new trick for me, but managed to get one out last night. Super stoked on that. The step-down flip in the middle of my line was by far the smallest lip and biggest step down I’ve ever flipped, so. I’m pushing myself for sure.”

The second run, Robin needed a flawless ride with her signature style and skill to beat Hannah’s first run score and take the lead back. And that’s exactly what she delivered. Despite a fair bit of wind, Robin threw down a smooth, fearless, and flawless ride, with even smoother tricks and an unbeatable flow. She doubled down on her tricks: landing a no footer, another flat spin, a backflip, a suicide no-hander, and a backflip one foot can. As the commentators put it: it was perfect.

“I’m super proud of it, honestly,” Robin says at the end of her winning ride. “That was pretty f*cking unreal for me, like I’m so stoked on that. I don’t even care – I mean, I care a lot, actually, but like – surely the judges liked that one.”

Sure enough, Robin’s second ride put her right back in first place with an enormous 93.5 points, securing her the win over Hannah’s 92.75.

“It means the world, aye. I’m so lost for words. I knew I could do it and I just didn’t expect it. It was pretty insane, there was some real f*cking healthy competition with Hannah there. And me and Hannah seem to have these battles every year so, she’s keeping me pushing.”

If you need a quick refresher, Red Bull Rampage is the world's premier big mountain freeride mountain bike event. There, the world’s best riders spend days in the dirt, digging their own lines through the sandstone cliffs of Utah. Then, they throw their spades, get on their bikes, and throw themselves down some of the biggest, wildest, and most unforgiving terrain in one of the biggest MTB events in the world. Riders get two rides each, with the highest single run score coming out on top.

“This whole week has happened so quickly. You’re just kind of in it and trying to keep moving, tick things off, keep moving, keep moving, add the tricks. A lot of it is just like, I figured it out this morning,” she laughs.

Back in 2024, Robin won the very first women's Rampage event with an 85-point run and two backflips off Rampage's sandstone cliffs. In Rampage 2025, she came back as the rider to beat, dropped an 89.50, and held off Hannah Bergemann by 0.17th of a point. In 2026, she won gold at NST Bike, landing on top of the podium once again. And, this year, Robin had the opportunity to become the first ever rider, man or woman, to win Rampage three times in a row.

“Honestly, winning three in a row is a dream,” Robin says. “It’s crazy though, because winning it once is the dream, and then you do it again, and you’re like, okay this is absolutely the dream. I guess that’s just how we are. You keep setting goals, and it’s like, once you’ve done one, you want to do the next thing. So yeah, I’ve had my mind on that for a whole year now, and we’ll just work towards that I guess.”

For those new to the game, Robin Goomes is a badass mountain bike rider from New Zealand. She’s been taking the world by storm since before she became the first female to backflip in competition at Crankworx 2021, and one of the first female riders at Audi Nines. Now, her trophy shelf boasts three back-to-back wins at Red Bull Rampage in 2024, 2025 and now 2026, a win at Crankworx Slopestyle World Championships in 2025, and a win at NST Bike 2026 earlier this year. Honestly, it’s getting crowded.

Naturally, she does it all in Merino performance gear from the bottom of the world. This year, Robin wore the Mons Royale Yonder Long Sleeve made from Merino and organic cotton: but with a special nod to her mum, Naomi Goomes, who passed away earlier this year. The pair used to love foraging for mushrooms, so this year, Robin’s kit was covered in mushrooms in tribute to the woman who made her the fierce and fearless rider she is.

We’re stoked to be supporting Robin on the world stage as she proves again and again, she’s the baddest of them all. And to finish in Robin’s own words?

“Holy shit, let’s f*cking go!”
